Yes, these are my friends. What an odd group.
Katherine is my Smashing Pumpkins lovin' buddy. It's incredibly wonderful to have a friend who loves them just as much as I do. I've been friends with Katherine since 7th grade, when she moved here from Japan. Katherine lives in Seattle now, cause she goes to the University of Washington. I miss her a lot. When I think of Katherine, I think of : woodchips, double-flavored Skittles, AP Euro History and passing notes about Kelli, spontaneous laughing fits especially during moments of silence, and enduring Chemistry bright and early every morning our junior year.Katherine and I at the lake two summers ago.
Brittainy is somewhat like good wine: she gets better with age. She's the type of friend you can only appreciate after lots of time has passed, and you can still have a great time with her. Brittainy is going to OU, and is a music education major. She plays trumpet in the Pride. I've known Brittainy since 1st grade, when our teacher asked me to show Brittainy where the lunchpails went. When I think of Brittainy, I think of: hiding in my backyard from our moms, going to the zoo and the omniplex, sailboats, and lots and lots of laughter. Here's me and Brittainy wearing some funky hats inOrlando. This is a video that Amanda's dad made of Brittainy in the Pride at an OU football game. She's the one in the middle, if it's blurry.
Carrie is Lily in Narcotic Lollipop. I've known Carrie since 10th grade, because she was an east-sider and went to Central. Carrie goes to OU too. Carrie is a wonderful artist. Plus, she wears cool socks, and loves Weezer. When I think of Carrie, I think of: lists in the bus to Denver, red hair, porch monkeys, and that one time when I spent the night at her house and slept in her huge bed with her, and in the middle of the night she rolled on top of me- when I pushed her away she said, "No, stay close!" :)
Heather R. (on the left) is one funky chicken! Heather and I go way back, as we used to take ballet together in like 3rd grade. We were Cherry Tarts in Alice and Wonderland. :) Heather is crazy- probably the least inhibited person I know. When I think of Heather, I think of: cruisin' in her BMW convertible listening to Aerosmith at lunch, Rancito, beat poetry about Nutri-Grain bars, and Green Jello.
Angie is my ray of sunshine. She makes me happy, when skies are gray. She'll never know how much I love her, so please don't take my sunshine away. :) Seriously! Angie, like nearly everyone else and their dog, is going to OU. And she's even in my History class! When I think of Angie, I think of: Toy Story, puffy cheeks and wisdom teeth, and Casa Bonita (boy, did we have to pee!)
Jeff is such a sweet guy. He's a sophomore at OU. At one time I was convinced to make a Pumpkin fan out of Jeff, but that didn't really pan out. When I think of Jeff, I think of: Prom, the Jeff-shuffle dance, and OU football.
Zach..How can one even begin to describe Zach? First, he snorts acid up his nose (strange...yes), and he can't pee standing up. That's why Brittainy (the funny lookin' girl in that picture) broke up with him. (Zach made me say that) Seriously though, he's a cool guy, and plays sax in the band. He's a senior at Norman High this year. Here's Zach and Amanda lookin' like the two hot sax players they are in Orlando.
Katya is cool. I've known her since about 8th grade, I guess. Katya is cool just because of her name. Say it. Kaaaaatt---yaaaa. Lovely. Katya lives in New Mexico now- she goes to school at New Mexico Tech. When I think of Katya, I think of: hot ears, skipping school to eat donuts and drink milk in her room, and parties with strange people showing up (teehee...Erin never knew about the sparkling grape juice..hehe).
Saffron is in the army right now!! She's Katya's older sister, too. She was the Orchestra president my junior year in high school, and my secret senior in aegis (gotta love that flaming thong). I miss Saffron and her wacky ways. When I think of Saffron, I think of: Bucksnort, looking for four-leaf clovers, and that crazy going-away party she had and certain people tipping over in canoes.
Amanda is wonderful. Sometimes I think she's the most honest and direct friend I have, which is good for someone like me who occasionally needs a little smacking. Amanda loves hippos. I've known her really since 5th grade, but I only became really good friends with her starting in maybe our junior year of high school. She's going to OU too. Amanda's really camera-shy, but I snuck this on New Year's. When I think of Amanda, I think of: Godsmack concerts and moshing, grape slushes, and Hemingway, and how he's maybe not as bad as I thought he was.
Matt is an online friend! I met him in April of 1999, when he emailed me a movie suggestion for Narcotic Lollipop (he was the only person that actually responded to my query on my website). He's from England, and has a birthday only 5 days before mine. He is a wonderfully hilarious guy, and very witty. And he's the reason I bought my first David Bowie, Cure, and Jeff Buckley CDs. :)
Vincent is another person I met through Netphoria. He lives in Seattle, and is a very unique guy. He loves Orange Juice, and writes really good poetry. Vincent is an awesome guy, and we both love Moby! Plus he's a cutie, and super sweet, because he called me and sang happy birthday to me. :)
Heather B. shares a brain with me!! We're always saying the exact same thing at the exact same time. Heather's at college in Minnesota right now, at St. Olaf. When I think of Heather, I think of: "I am enlightened!", scary classes like 10th grade history and French II, and grooving on down at football games.
Kelli is Sasquatch. Yep, it's her. All those tabloid articles are all about her. I feel privileged to be an acquaitance of Sasquatch. Kelli's going to OU. In fact, she lives in the dorm room right next door to mine. When I think of Kelli, I think of: projectile phones in Houston, the Kelli-dance, and all those times when she fell down and it was funny. :)
Finally, there's me. Here's me looking weird this December. Here's me opening some presents on my birthday two years ago. Here I am inside a refridgerator in Orlando (it was hot and I needed to cool off). And here's me when I was a little baby.
